Dr. Ted Hutchin
Ted Hutchin is a leading international expert in the Theory of Constraints (TOC) with over 25 years experience in multiple TOC disciplines, notably in the education and implementation of Critical Chain Project Management and Drum/Buffer/Rope methodologies, having worked with the founder of TOC, Dr Eli Goldratt and becoming a certified associate of the Goldratt Institute (UK). Ted has written four books focusing on organisational change, leadership and the impact of the primary barriers to achieving successful change.
Ted completed his PhD at Cranfield University on the application of TOC within
manufacturing with specific focus on the Psychology of Organisational Change and Organisational Behaviour. He also has a BA (Hons) with the Open University in Systems, Technology and
Economics and an MA in Human Resource Management, is a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development and an Industrial
Fellow in the University of Nottingham Business School.
Tony has over 20 years experience at senior level in manufacturing and consultancy, having held positions as Technical and Finance Director and General Manager in different organisations, and Managing Director at a large first tier Automotive Component Supplier. In addition to these managerial roles, Tony gained extensive software systems and management experience in commissioning, specifying, testing and implementing multiple bespoke manufacturing computer systems.
Within the consutancy sector Tony has for 9 years provided Training, Education and Implementation of Constraints Management Solutions for Manufacturing, Project Management and the Health Sector, as well as business transformation commissions for SME's - focussing on enabling business growth.These roles have enabled Tony to develop specialities in: Constraints Management (TOC), Lean Transformation and Systems, Toyota Production System (TPS), EFQM Business Excellence Model and Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM).
Tony holds an MBA from Brunel University, and an MA (General Engineering) and MEng (Manufacturing Engineering), both from Cambridge University, and is a Visiting Lecturer at Warwick University.
Karl is a specialist in the Theory of Constraints (TOC) with over 25 years experience in multiple TOC disciplines, notably in the education and implementation of Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM), Drum/Buffer/Rope (DBR) and the Thinking Process methodologies, having worked with the founder of TOC, Dr Eli Goldratt and becoming a certified associate of the Goldratt Institute (UK) in 1991.
Karl has implemented TOC methods in multiple organisations including: Gillette, Hunting Engineering, Kerry Foods, Lucent Technologies, Glaxo Smith Kline and many others. He was also a tutor on the Cranfield Manufacturing Fellowship Scheme on Throughput Accounting and TOC.
Gary has a long background in Project, Programme and Portfolio Management, mainly in I.T. across multiple sectors: Manufacturing, Insurance, Banking, Telecoms, Retail & Public Sector as well as multiple roles in Test and Quality Management, training and consultancy. These roles provided experience of: Prince, PMI/PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, RAD, JAD, SDLC, Offshore teams, VV&T, ISO Standards, CRM, Disaster Recovery, Electronic Records Mgmt, Compliance, Tenders, PFI's, Model Office, Contract Negotiation.
More recently Gary became involved in Business Process Improvement and Business Development Strategy which included exposure to the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and in particular Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM). This proved to be a personal and professional turning point and since 2010 Gary has concentrated on the education, training and implementation of Critical Chain Project Management. Gary is a frequent speaker at project management conferences and at APM, PMI and BCS events.
